ESC Charting Privacy Policy

ESC Charting provides AI-assisted tools that help users turn dictated, typed, or pasted information into structured documentation using templates and user-defined rules. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use ESC Charting.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you use ESC Charting, we may process information including:

• Account information, such as your email address and account identifier.
• Content you provide to the service, including typed or pasted notes, templates, rules, and other user-provided content.
• Audio or voice input when you choose to use voice dictation or recording features.
• Subscription and entitlement information needed to provide Free or Pro features. Payments made through the iOS app are processed by Apple; ESC Charting does not receive your full payment-card information from Apple.
• Technical information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

How We Use Information

We use information to authenticate users, provide app features, process user-requested AI-assisted documentation, save user settings and templates where applicable, manage subscription access, provide support, maintain security, and troubleshoot the service.

AI and Service Providers

Information may be transmitted to service providers that help ESC Charting operate features such as authentication, data storage, hosting, AI processing, voice processing, payments, and subscription verification. We use service providers only as needed to provide and operate the service and expect them to protect information appropriately.

Medical and Sensitive Information

Because ESC Charting includes free-form text and voice features, users may choose to enter sensitive or medical-related information. Do not enter information unless you are authorized to do so and your use complies with your organization’s requirements and applicable laws. ESC Charting should not be treated as a substitute for your organization’s required recordkeeping, security, compliance, or clinical systems.

Data Sharing

ESC Charting does not sell personal information or use user content for third-party advertising. Information may be shared with service providers as necessary to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, protect rights and security, or complete a business transaction as permitted by law.

Data Retention and Deletion

Information is retained only as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate business and security records, and meet legal obligations. Users may request deletion of their account and associated personal information by contacting ESC Charting support. Some information may be retained when required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or other legitimate purposes.

Your Choices

You may choose whether to use microphone and voice features through your device permissions. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account, subject to applicable law.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

ESC Charting is intended for professional use and is not directed to children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ESC Charting changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
